Postgraduate Programs They Run

University of East London provides a range of postgraduate programs covering subjects such as education, business, law, architecture, psychology, theatre, childcare, fashion and more. Some of the award accreditations they offer include Postgraduate Certificates (PGCert), Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip), Master of Art (MA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Research (MRes) and Master of Science (MSc). Their postgraduate courses can be completed full-time or part-time and students can avail of flexible learning options like online and distance learning. 

Admissions Process 

If you are a UK resident looking to apply for a full-time course at University of East London, you need to fill out the online UCAS application form. Once submitted, University of East London will be in touch with you to let you know whether they would like to offer you a place. It is important to ensure you are entering the correct institution and course codes, you can check these on the relevant course page on the University of East London’s website. 

International students can apply directly on the University of East London website which is free of charge. Applications for postgraduate courses should be made online through the relevant University of East London course page. If you make an application on the University of East London’s website, you can track the progress of your application too. You may be invited for an interview or offered a place.  

Accommodation 

University of East London provides students with excellent on campus accommodation. The accommodation is comprised of two distinct accommodation building types – the East Student Halls and the West Student Halls. You can choose from premium accommodation options or standard accommodation options. The premium options are for four bed flats and premium kitchens while the standard options are four bed flats, studios and detached flats. The East Halls and West Halls also provide wheelchair accessible accommodation which are shared and have been designed to suit those with medical conditions and mobility issues.  

The flats house between five and seven students. The standard room options are an en-suite and single occupancy. All of the flats host a large modern and spacious shared kitchen/dining area. The premium room options provide a larger study space for students who are looking for extra rooms. There are also more social options since they create a share-flat environment. Spaces are more limited for premium room types. Studio type accommodations are self-contained en-suite rooms with a kitchen, dining and bedroom space all in the one single room. They are intended for single occupancy. 

Scholarships and Financial Support 

The University of East London provides a number of scholarships and bursaries to help students in paying for their studies. Some of the scholarships on offer include the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship which awards £27,750 over the course duration, the Dean Scholarship which awards £13,500 over the course duration and the Sports Scholarships which award up to $6,600 per year. They also have a number of undergraduate bursaries including the Young Independent Student Bursary which awards up to £1,500 renewable yearly. There is also the Progression Bursary which is support for students from low-income households for final year course fees and successful applicants could receive up to £3,000. There is also undergraduate study abroad bursaries such as the Erasmus Bursary and Going Global Bursary. In addition, the University of East London offers postgraduate funding such as an Alumni Discount, Early Payment Discount, Sports Scholarships and Asylum Seekers Postgraduate Scholarship.
