About

Wiltshire College provides Higher National Diplomas, Higher National Certificates, Full Honour, and Foundation-level degrees to more than 3,300 full-time, 6,000 part-time, and 800 university students. The college is spread across four campuses in Salisbury, Trowbridge, Lackham, and Chippenham. They have excellent facilities including their award-winning hair and beauty salons and restaurants which are staffed by students studying their programs. Wiltshire College has a great success rate for students within southern England at 96%. Their student’s grades surpass the national average. The UK government inspection service, Ofsted, also rated the college and its campuses as outstanding.

Types of Programs They Run

Wiltshire College has a vast range of programs to choose from for school leavers and adults as well as T-Level courses, A-Level programs, apprenticeships, military courses, and part-time and distance learning programs. They span a plethora of different topics including land-based studies, animals, design, art, agriculture, finance, business, management, hospitality, engineering, IT, computing, construction, criminology, fashion, film, media, beauty, hairdressing, health and safety, games development, sport, science, travel, motor vehicles, languages, horticulture, social care and more. Many of their programs can also be completed on a part-time basis.

Admissions Process

For most courses at Wiltshire College, you can make your application directly on the website. To do this, visit the webpage of your chosen program and scroll down until you see apply. Press this button and you will be redirected to an online application form for you to fill out. Once you have completely filled this out, submit it for review by the admissions team. They will then contact you in the weeks following to update you on your application. For university-level programs, you must apply via the UCAS. Therefore, you need to visit the UCAS website to make your application. Remember to include the correct institution and course codes, these can be found on the Wiltshire College website. After you have filled out your application in its entirety, submit it for review by the admissions team. They will then revert back to you with their decision. Keep in mind this can take a few weeks.

Accommodation

Wiltshire College has student accommodation at two of its campuses – Lackham Campus and Salisbury Campus. There are 145 student rooms available at the Lackham Campus and there are tonnes of communal spaces and facilities. Some of these facilities include a common room, snack bar, TV and games lounge, and a gym. The Salisbury Campus accommodation has 80 rooms available and these are for anyone enrolled on a course at Level 2 or above. Some of the facilities here include communal areas, self-catering kitchens, a computer room, games room, local gym, and a lounge. Your room will contain a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, and storage. Scholarships and Financial Support

Wiltshire College has a number of bursaries to assist students financially.
