While some may not realise it, Bradford College has been teaching for around 185 years. They are one of the largest training and education providers in the region. They have around 20,000 students on their programs. Their courses are career-focused which means the main objectives are that you get a job or progress further with your studies. The types of programs they offer include A-Levels, vocational programs, community courses, degrees, masters, and apprenticeships. They mainly teach 16- to 18-year-olds and are one of the largest providers for degrees that is not a university. Bradford College has roots in the industrial revolution and the vision of local leaders. Some of their notable alumni include artists such as Andy Goldsworthy and David Hockney, singer Tasmin Archer, visual effects artist Iki Ikram and cyclist Yvonne McGregor.

Accommodation

Bradford College has student housing available in its Doris Birdsall Halls. The halls have 59 rooms and are beside the college’s Trinity Green campus. In addition, the halls are a five-minute walk to the David Hockney Building. You will get your own study bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom. The weekly rent is around £88 per person and this fee includes contents insurance, internet, and utilities. Each bedroom contains a desk, wardrobe, bed, bedside cabinet, desk chair, lamp, waste bin, bookcase, and notice board. In addition, the rooms have their own en-suite bathroom which is comprised of a shower, washbasin, and a toilet. The flats of four to five rooms have a living area and kitchen with ample cupboard space. Kitchens have a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, seating area with a television, and a washer and dryer.
