About 

In 1966, the University of Bath achieved their Royal Charter and are now considered to be in the top 10 universities in the UK. This is due to their teaching and research excellence. They provide a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering topics such as physics, economics, chemistry, psychology, criminology and more.  

They are primarily known for their four faculties – science, humanities and social science, science, and engineering and design. Their main campus is situated in Claverton Down, on the east side of Bath but they also have several colleges which provide a range of different courses. They have invested more than $450 million in its campus over the past decade. As a result, they have a well-built infrastructure with necessary amenities and facilities for students.  

Postgraduate Programs They Run 

The University of Bath provides numerous different postgraduate programs. Some of the areas their courses focus on include business analytics, computer science, artificial intelligence, sociology, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, education, and more. Their programs offer awards such as Master of Science (MSc), Master of Research (MRes), Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert), Master of Art (MA), and more. Some of the courses allow for part-time study as well as distance learning.  

Admissions Process 

Undergraduate applicants should make their applications via the UCAS. To do this, visit the UCAS website and begin filling out your online application. Ensure you have the correct institution and course codes as you complete it. Once you have finished filling it out, submit it and the admissions team at the University of Bath will review it and get back to you. International students looking to study undergraduate courses can apply in the same way.  

Postgraduate applicants can apply directly on the University of Bath website by filling out the online form. Before applying, you should read the entry requirements of your chosen course to ensure you meet them. When filling out your application, you will need a number of things. These include: 

  • Personal details about yourself 
  • The date you wish to start studying 
  • Your education history 
  • Proof that you have a good level of English 
  • References  
  • Personal statement 

You will also need your transcripts and an up-to-date CV. There may be some other requirements depending on the course. After you have submitted your application, the admissions team will review it and contact you to let you know if you have been successful. You can also track your application to keep up-to-date with its progress.  

Accommodation 

The University of Bath provides accommodation for undergraduate, postgraduate, and international students. They also have accommodation options for couples and families. Prices vary depending on the property and there are various different types of properties from double-bed flats to en-suite single and double bedrooms to standard bedrooms and more. At the minimum, you can expect to have a room with a bed, wardrobe, shelves, storage, desk, and chair. All students have access to Wi-Fi and laundry facilities. All necessary amenities are usually a short walk from the accommodation. You will likely have shared kitchens and living areas. Some properties have shared bathrooms also. Usually, there is bike storage on-site also. All of the accommodation is also smoke-free.  

Scholarships and Financial Support 

The University of Bath offer a number of scholarships and financial support for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Some of their scholarships include the Global Leaders Scholarship, the Deans Award for Academic Excellence Scholarship, GREAT Scholarship, Frank Wallace Scholarship, and more. They also have scholarships specific to the area of studies such as business and artificial intelligence. In addition, they have sports scholarships available to those who excel in sport.
